TO ACQUIRE
MAGNETICS DIVISION FROM C&K COMPONENTS.

SALISBURY, MD Sept 1 1998. Toroid Corporation of Maryland
(TCM) announced today it's agreement to acquire the assets of
the Magnetics Division of C&K Components of Newton Massachusetts.
This new subsidiary of TCM will be named Inductive Technologies.
"This acquisition reinforces Toroid Corporation's
commitment to and enhances it's leadership position in the magnetics
industry," said Gunnar Ennerfelt, President of TCM. "Now,
in addition to providing our customer with high quality - line
frequency toroidal transformers, we will be able to offer a
broad range of custom designed high frequency magnetic components
at very competitive prices. Combining the existing manufacturing
unit in Costa Rica with a planned production facility in Maryland,
we can provide 'Rapid Response' service to our clients to meet
either their high volume or short-run prototype requirements.
