Salisbury, MD. Toroid Corporation of Maryland , USA, is pleased to announce that their entire line of standard toroidal transformers now can be ordered online from their website, www.toroid.com. Toroid offers the industry’s widest selection with more than 100 standard designs for 50/60Hz operation using the toroidal core construction.

Toroid’s standard line includes power transformers for step-down and power supply, rectifier applications with dual primary windings and dual secondary windings from 20VA to 1000VA.

Isolation transformers are available up to 5000VA for both commercial/industrial and medical applications. The lsoBox line of enclosed isolation transformers for domestic and overseas hospital installations or for the OEM market is available from 300 VA to 1700 VA.

The latest addition is a line of control panel transformers available from 50VA to 3000VA with input voltages of 120V, 208V, 240V, 480V and 560V single phase at 50/60Hz operation and with output voltages of 48VAC, 24VAC and 12VAC.

Toroid Corp. accepts VISA or MC for online purchases. All domestic orders will be shipped prepaid via UPS.

For applications with data outside Toroid Corporation’s standard line, visitors are invited to email specifications to Toroid’s design group for a custom design

Toroid’s efficient toroidal core construction makes their transformers considerably smaller and lighter (on the average by 50%) than the conventional stacked lamination type. The toroidal core also drastically reduces both audible noise and Electro-Magnetic Interference. Additionally, in a typical application, much less heat is generated because of the core’s efficient construction with very low no-load losses. In many cases the use of cooling fans becomes unnecessary.
