Standards for Medical Electronics Industry

Transformer products used in the medical electronics industry must meet stringent safety standards according to UL60601-1 and ANSI/AAMI ES60601-1 or equivalent foreign safety standards (CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1, IEC 60601-1, EN 60601-1). For patient connected equipment, extra low leakage currents are required and must be specified by the customer. We guarantee leakage currents as low as 10uA when requested. UL family recognition to UL544 is available for class A and class B insulation systems.

Standards for Non-Medical Applications

All our transformers for non-medical applications are designed to comply with UL506. When requested, the transformers will also comply with equivalent foreign safety standards (CSA C22.2 No.66, IEC 61558, EN 61558). UL family recognition is available for class A and class B insulation systems.

International Standards

As mentioned above, we are thoroughly familiar with the various foreign standards. We offer our assistance to have our custom designed transformers tested by TUV or other testing laboratories you choose to do the evaluation. All our transformers are built with required creep distance and insulation system to pass 4000V Hi-pot test between primaries and secondaries.
